What the FBI reveal about Hillary Clinton’s Email Server ?

Former Secretary of State finally agreed to provide the Ministry of Justice the hard drive of a private mail server that is accused of using illegally

After long hesitation, Hillary Clinton, leading in the polls for the Democratic nomination for the US presidential election, finally agreed to give the hard drive of a personal computer that she used as the mail server during his tenure at the Department of State (2009-2013). the use of his personal e-mail account as part of his duties is being investigated by the Ministry of Justice. This survey has undergone multiple twists, and is a key element used by Trump in the campaign for the Democratic nomination.

The investigation :

On 5 July 2016, the FBI Director James COMEY, made public the findings of the survey at a press conference, issuing a damning report for Hillary Clinton. It accuses her of having shown "extreme negligence" by hosting emails containing classified information on unprotected personal servers, adding that "any sensible person occupying Mrs. Clinton function should have known that a server unprotected could accommodate information classified top secret. " He said that foreign spies had access to Hillary Clinton's emails . However, he did not recommend prosecution against her because they did not find clear evidence .

How did Clinton react ? Clinton and his team mainly played for time. It took five months for the Ministry of Justice granted access to the server's hard drive located at the home of the Secretary of State. The Clinton team had erased the hard drive contents late 2014, after sending investigators a file purporting to contain all the emails .

If from the beginning of the Clinton investigation admitted having used it, she always said no confidential document had passed through this e-mail box. The initial findings of the survey show otherwise, but also note that the documents reviewed, whether they contained much classified information, were not identified as such. An argument could be used by Clinton to argue his good faith.
However, the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which ended in 2012 with the death of the ambassador, discovered in June that the file sent by Clinton n ' was not complete. Fifteen emails sent by the head of US diplomacy to Sidney Blumenthal, old friend and adviser to Clinton, were not included in the file - Mr. Blumenthal had forwarded copies of all its trade with Ms. Clinton to the Commission of Inquiry, at his request.

What are the consequences of the investigation?

Hillary Clinton is far from the first responsible US policy accused of illegal use of emails. Judicial sentences are extremely rare, but the political consequences can be severe. Clinton is already the subject of the attacks accusing him of endangering the lives of American soldiers, and his opponents denounced its lack of transparency - which the Obama administration had however been a priority.
